Amanda L. Altman

Criminal Defense/Family Law Lawyer

Amanda L. Altman graduated from St. Louis University, School of Law in 2007. She has been practicing criminal law in Southeast Missouri her entire career. She is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois.

She has represented clients on all criminal charges ranging from low level misdemeanors to murder in the first degree. Amanda has tried and won numerous criminal trials by jury and to the bench. She has successfully argued motions on various legal issues, including motions to suppress evidence. She has also won many cases at probable cause hearings, leading to dismissal of charges prior to trial.

In order to stay current on the leading trial techniques, Amanda has attended advanced trial skills seminars. In addition, she has been repeatedly invited to be a small group leader in new attorney training workshops. She has mentored and trained new attorneys in both trial skills and negotiation.

While in law school, she enjoyed an internship with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, where she worked in the divorce and paternity division. Now, she is excited to expand her area of practice to include the family law work that she trained for early in her career. She plans on using the negotiation and trial skills that she has acquired in her criminal law practice to best serve her family law clients.

Amanda never walks into a courtroom unprepared. She will make sure you do not walk into the courtroom unprepared either. She will guide you through the legal process and make sure you are fully informed at every stage of the proceedings. In court, she will fight relentlessly to protect your rights and achieve the best possible results.
